Handle are working with a leading global organisation within the media and entertainment sector, seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to support its UK operations across the Music, Publishing, and TV divisions.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across the business and would suit a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of month-end journals, P&L statements with supporting documentation, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ownership of the month-end close process, including timely production of financial and management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)
Variance analysis of budgets vs actuals for period and year-to-date
Production of monthly performance review packs across five divisions
Preparation of the annual budget and six-month reforecast
Quarterly variance (flux) analysis on P&L and balance sheet movements
Timely submission of financial reporting to Group Finance
Acting as a Finance Business Partner to division heads, responding to performance queries and ad hoc requests
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Director with calculations, analysis and reporting as required
Audit, Controls & Projects:
Key involvement in annual statutory audits, including preparation of audit documentation and schedules
Support on US GAAP statutory audits
Assisting with documentation and review of internal control processes
Reviewing finance processes and recommending improvements
Supporting ad hoc projects, including client trust work and transition to a new finance system
About You:
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience
Previous experience in a management accountant role preferred
Proactive problem-solver with a strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
Confident working with senior stakeholders and external partners
Team-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or SAP desirable
An interest in the media and entertainment industry is advantageous
