Management Accountant - TV Production - Central London

A newly created Management Accountant role has become available within a leading TV Production company based in Central London. This Management Accountant will be reporting into the Head of Production - Finance and will be responsible for the day to day running of the finances, working closely with each production team to ensure timely management accounting and reporting.

This company is offering study support and hybrid working with just 3 days in the offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head of Production Finance in order to provide accurate financial reporting for all development and production output.
  • To liaise with freelance production accountants to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting is produced.
  • To review and quality assure financial information produced by freelance production accountants, e.g. TBs, VAT returns, trade creditor reports etc.
  • To reconcile all balance sheet accounts of the SPVs
  • To improve the quality and consistency of all financial reporting
  • To monitor, analyse and control development spend within HTP and HTM
  • To calculate the gross profit for HTP and HTM productions on a monthly basis
  • To prepare statutory accounts for SPVs
  • To reconcile all the balance sheet accounts relating to productions (e.g. accrued income, deferred revenue, accruals etc.)
  • To liaise with the auditors during year-end and tax credit audits
  • To prepare monthly HTM management accounts
  • Any other reporting as required

Key skills:

  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA would be beneficial
  • Experience of producing financial accounts to month end
  • Managed balance reconciliation process across multiple companies (ideally experienced in a group company structure)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced excel spreadsheet experience
  • Analytical Mind and a Problem Solver
  • Self Starter / Proactive
  • Good social skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interest in our industry and sector
