Handle Recruitment are proud to be working with the leading International Festival of Creativity to recruit a Material Specialist for the run up to the 2023 festival. The festival is widely regarded as the Oscars of the advertising, brand marketing and creative communications world and is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to gain invaluable experience within the creative, advertising and events industries.
Each year, the festival receives over 40,000 entries from 90 countries around the globe that are then passed over to juries for the judging process to begin. They have a dedicated Awards team to oversee this process but need an interim candidate from April 18th - late June to support them in the London office as well as the opportunity to work on site at the festival in Cannes, France in June.
*Please note due to the handling of physical entries this position requires being the office full time*
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the process of physical materials accompanying awards entries
- Unbox, check, catalogue and sort physical entry materials
- Deal with customer queries when necessary
- Lead physical and logistical tasks, including packing materials to transfer to to France
- Assist during the festival with the logistics and organisation of the materials around the festival, including the design exhibition
- Other ad hoc duties during the festival
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Initiative and self-motivation, accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Gmail, Google Drive and all of its applications
- Excellent communication skills - ability to compose professional and articulate emails, with a confident and helpful telephone manner
- Flexibility and capacity to undertake varied ad hoc tasks
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload accordingly
- Availability to join a temporary position 18th April with full commitment through to June, must be able to travel to France in June
