This role will be based full time at our client's beautiful head office in the heart of central London.

Our client is keen to appoint an office assistant/ receptionist, to work closely with and support the Office Manager. The duration of the role will be for 10 weeks initially, with possibility of extension, and the role is due to start straight away following a one stage interview process.

We're keen to hear from candidates with strong communication skills and excellent client facing/ customer service experience.

Suitable candidates must be incredibly pro-active, punctual, super organised and conscientious.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting visitors and offering refreshments- notifying the relevant person/people of their arrival
  • Setting up drinks and snacks for board meetings
  • Assisting with sourcing quotes for office works
  • Assisting with sourcing decorations/treats for office events
  • Receiving post, sorting, scanning and sending to teams
  • Placing orders for office supplies & distributing around the office
  • Setting up access passes for new starters and deactivating for leavers
  • Taking post to Post office/arranging couriers
  • Sourcing tech equipment for employees while in the office
  • Creating purchase orders and sending to suppliers
  • Reconciliation of purchases
  • Collating daily visitor list and sending to building reception team/security

Skills and experience required:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a receptionist/ office assistant
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm and professional manner, proven experience of performing effectively under pressure

Strong software skills

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, but equally- a team player with a helpful, proactive attitude towards work
