We are working with a global tech leader, seeking an experienced Photo Editor for an initial 6 month contract, to join their International Editorial Design team. This team supports some of the most visible digital platforms in the world - including music, video streaming, apps, books, and podcasts.

As a Contributing Photo Editor, this individual will play a pivotal role in researching, curating, licensing, and delivering high-quality visuals that support editorial storytelling across global platforms. If you're a visual storyteller with a sharp editorial eye, deep knowledge of licensing, and an instinct for identifying powerful imagery, this could be the role for you.

Please note an updated portfolio is required with your application.

This is a temporary role (initially 6 months) and candidates must be able to work in central London 3 days a week (2 days wfh)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching, curating, and licensing photography for use across global media products

  • Maintaining exceptional organisation of assets, budgets, contracts, and licenses

  • Managing fee negotiations and contracts with external artists and agencies

  • Proactively identify and resolve production and creative challenges

  • Sourcing, briefing, and building relationships with global photographers, image houses, and content creators

  • Supervising retouching and ensuring visual assets meet high-quality standards

  • Collaborating closely with a diverse, international design team across varying time zones

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of photo editing, visual content curation, or art direction experience in publishing, advertising, entertainment, or editorial environments

  • A Bachelor's degree in Photography, Design, Communications, or a related field

  • Deep understanding of storytelling through photography

  • Hands-on experience with image editing and productivity tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Excel/Numbers, etc.)

  • Additional language proficiency and experience working on international projects across multiple cultures is a plus!
