We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Accountant to join vibrant production house specialising in editorial and film production! With a client base stretching across luxury fashion publications and designers. An ideal candidate should have around 1 to 2 years experience within a production setting along with meticulous communication skills, along with use of the systems Xero and Dext.

This is a permanent role offering hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier and Artist invoices

  • Maintain accurate and up to date supplier/Artist details and account records

  • Reconciling supplier account vs. statements

  • Process and reconcile company cards statements

  • Populate payment schedule and process bank payments

  • Queries arising

  • Managing bills issued in a timely manor

  • Credit control & Age reporting

  • Queries arising

  • Maintain accurate and up to date reconciled balances

  • Managing and ensure jobs are closed out with timely billing of all productions undertaken through the company.

  • Update and reconcile actual production expenditure in the systems

  • Liaising with Producer's and agents to ensure accuracy of reconciliation

  • Cash-flow reporting

  • Payroll

  • VAT Return

  • Maintain finance control and processes and integration with other business systems

  • Assisting with internal and external audit process

  • Ad Hoc admin & operational duties

Skills:

  • Work experience in production industry would be highly regarded.

  • 1+ years of experience as a Production Accountant / bookkeeper or similar role.

  • Minimum of 2 years in accounting.

  • Degree or qualified by experience in accounting / finance.

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines in fast paced environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal skills to clearly communicate issues to all staff and management levels.

  • Meticulous bookkeeping skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Xero and Dext is a plus.
