Exciting new opportunity for a Research Analyst with a passion for TV! Major global entertainment network are looking for a detail oriented analyst with excellent problem solving skills to join the team asap for a 12 month + contract. The ideal candidate will have previous analyst experience within TV or have an interest in how audience/ratings and how crucial they are to the commercial success of the studio. Duties will include:

  • Produce regular reporting for both Networks and Distribution, covering company and competitor performance, across traditional and new media.
  • Provide analysis to identify viewing trends, optimize scheduling, and help with content acquisition for Networks across EMEA.
  • Use audience and other data to create compelling brand stories in support of Networks commercial negotiations.
  • Help with design and analysis of consumer surveys, to generate insights about brand perception and satisfaction
  • Help with market sizing and trend forecasting in support of Networks affiliate renewal discussions.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance of EMEA pay TV platforms, and track the launches of new channels or services.
  • Manage and analyse digital performance data, for catch-up and boxsets, and SVOD services such as Netflix, Amazon and local players, e.g. Salto in France.
  • Prepare and deliver research presentations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A passion for media, particularly TV and/or film.
  • Understanding of the television industry, including research terminology and methodology, and the convergence of traditional and new media.
  • Knowledge of the TV market and audience measurement in France, CEE and Africa is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritise.
  • Motivation and enthusiasm, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power Query and Power BI is desirable.
  • Fluent English. Proficiency in one or more of these languages would be a plus: Polish, Romanian, French.
