Shopify Project Manager / Shopify consultant - Media / Publishing / eCommerce

We currently have a Shopify Project Manager role available for a global eCommerce Media brand for a migration to Shopify 2 project.

Role:

  • Migration and wider technical implementation of roll out of Shopify tech feature sets
  • Shape the UX and new feature development of their stack.
  • Shopify or similar eComm migration experience desirable


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ecommerce technology landscape and associated stacks (Shopify shopping cart, API integrations, OMS, IMS, WMS, credit card processing, digital distribution etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Agile & application development (Scrum and/or Kanban).
  • Business consulting skills.
  • Excellent technical writer and ability to create logical diagrams of complex interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of IT project management processes. Ideally, Prince 2, APM or Certified Scrum master qualified.
  • Familiar with Product Information Management Systems, Order mgmt systems, Financial interfaces (SAP), CRM tools (interfaces)


Responsibilities:

  • Delivering against comprehensive project workplan, driving execution, and reporting weekly status.
  • Managing deliverables review and approval process, making certain all deliverables align with standards and receive proper tracking and timely sign-off.
  • Reprioritising and adjusting milestones/delivery dates to meet shifting business needs.
  • Proactively resolving issues with the migration plan.
  • Work with other member of the technical team, BA and developers to ensure timely build, QA / testing, deploy and go live on key component parts of the project.
  • Develop relevant documentation resources as required.
  • Organise, prepare and leading requirements definition sessions with a BA, business stakeholders and/or subject matter experts.
  • Break down business requirements into concise JIRA tickets (Epics, User Stories, Tasks) and helping to define Acceptance Criteria.


Nice to Have's:

  • Knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and general data transfer approaches.
  • Solid grounding with common design patterns and development best practices
  • Understanding of the music industry
