Handle are working with a rapidly growing FMCG company, to find a Finance Assistant to join them on a temporary to permanent basis. The role, based in East London's Walthamstow, demands a conscientious, independent candidate that is confident in process implementation and improvement. Ensuring accuracy of financial data, preparation of month end accounts and overseeing the smooth running of all day-to-day finance operations in central to this role.
The Duties
- Sales input, reconciliation and review for both wholesale and direct channels
- Month end accruals and prepayments
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations preparation and analysis on cost
- Posting expenses and credit cards
- Processing and reconciling AP invoices and preparing payment runs
- Processing and reconciling Sales invoices
- Assisting with weekly cash flow forecasting, ensuring debtors and creditors are up to date and providing clear payment schedule
- Providing insight and ideas around process improvement and implementation
The Candidate
- Solid understanding of AP, AR and month end close and impact on the smooth running of a business
- Demonstrable experience of working in a high growth business with a clear understanding of what makes a successful finance function
- Proven ability to think on their feet and thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment who is eager to meet challenges head on
- Knowledge of Xero is desired
- Previous FMCG experience is desired
- Immediately available to start this position on a temporary to permanent basis
