Joining this expanding royalties function, this position will play a very key and value adding part in the royalties' process and the service to some of the best-known artists and record companies in the industry today. The ideal candidate will have practical experience of working within a royalties position in music (Label or Publishing) and be responsible for the below tasks: Assist in the preparation of royalty accounting statements across the distribution business Write and optimise SQL queries to transform and structure royalty data, Perform detailed reconciliations and Identify discrepancies and revenue gaps Assist in the reconciliation and timely clearance of the various balance sheet accounts holding royalty related balances Analyse and condense substantial royalty data received from Recording and Publishing labels and Digital platforms into concise summaries Prepare journals to process direct royalty income on a by title basis across the business Manage the full lifecycle of royalties from licence/cue sheet through to revenue receipt Provision of adequate data to the finance teams to enable them to reconcile balances held on the balance sheet Other reasonable ad hoc duties from time to time as instructed by Royalties Manager The successful candidate MUST have a passion for music and have a good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL and Royalties systems. You will lead the finance function across multiple entities, drive financial performance, and play a key role in shaping strategic decisions. The Role As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function across four entities spanning three jurisdictions. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial reporting, while leading and developing a small team and partnering closely with senior stakeholders. This role blends technical excellence with commercial insight, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
