Royalties Financial Analyst - Sports, Media & EntertainmentWe are working with a leading international business that is looking for a Royalties Financial Analyst to join its growing Finance team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in royalties, licensing, accounting, or commercial finance who wants to develop their career in a fast-paced, international environment.You will play a key role in managing royalty reporting, financial analysis, client reporting and accounting processes, working closely with internal commercial teams, licensees, clients and other stakeholders.The role offers excellent exposure to international clients, licensing agreements, royalty calculations and commercial finance, making it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers while also building strong business relationships.Royalty & Client ReportingCollect and process royalty statements and sales projections from licensees.Review royalty information to ensure calculations are accurate and complete.Raise and issue accurate royalty invoices to licensees.Prepare client remittances and payments, ensuring they are accurate and delivered within agreed deadlines.Monitor royalty receivables and work closely with Credit Control and Commercial teams to support timely collection.Assist with queries from clients, licensees, auditors, and internal stakeholders.Review licensing agreements and interpret contractual terms to ensure financial reporting and royalty calculations are correct.Provide supporting analysis and calculation breakdowns where required.Financial AccountingProcess supplier invoices and work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment.Assist with month-end close, including revenue and cost accruals, bad debt provisions, and write-offs.Perform General Ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.Assist with monthly management reporting, including cost of sales, G&A, reserves and revenue variance analysis.Investigate discrepancies and provide clear explanations to relevant stakeholders.Financial AnalysisAssist with the preparation of quarterly royalty forecasts and projections.Analyse royalty income, revenue trends and client performance.Provide financial analysis to support commercial decision-making.Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within royalty data.Support the wider Finance team with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.Look for opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting.Team & Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and international licensees.Provide finance support across the wider business as required.Provide cover for other members of the Finance team during periods of absence.Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.We are looking for someone who is analytical, commercially minded and highly detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in developing their finance career.Ideally, you will have:Part-qualified accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or equivalent relevant experience.A degree or equivalent qualification.Previous experience within royalties, licensing, accounting, commercial finance, or financial analysis.An understanding of how contractual terms can impact financial calculations and reporting.Experience across areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger or Finance Business Partnering.Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS and Pivot Tables.Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial data.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively.A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.Why This Role?This is a great opportunity to join a high-profile international business within the sports, media, entertainment, and brand licensing sector.For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to develop from a strong accounting or analytical foundation into a broader commercial finance career within the sports and entertainment industry. This is a varied role combining day-to-day financial oversight with process improvement, systems and controls, and the opportunity to make a real impact across the wider production finance function. We are working with a leading sports and events business that is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its Finance team in central London. Working alongside the Finance Director, Management Accountants and Event Finance team, you will play an important role in supporting the financial operations across a number of high-profile sporting events and projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and wants to build their career within the sports and events industry. The Role As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of invoices and payments across multiple events and projects. With numerous purchase ledgers to manage, you will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and comfortable working to tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. Process a large volume of weekly purchase invoices and payments across multiple events and projects. Manage petty cash and credit card reconciliations. Assist with bank reconciliations and other day-to-day bookkeeping duties. Provide support with Sales Ledger activities when required. Assist the wider Finance team with ad hoc accounting duties and projects. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across multiple events. Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure invoices, payments and reconciliations are completed within agreed deadlines. What We're Looking For Previous experience working in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role / AR Experience within the sports, events, media, entertainment or live events sector would be advantageous. Experience working across multiple projects, events or cost centres would be beneficial. Xero and Sage experience is essential. Strong Excel skills would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently when required. A genuine team player with strong communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Why This Opportunity?
