A media & events company specialising in putting on world class events in the art world are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team.
Reporting into the Management Accountant, this role will be responsible for carrying out the purchase and sales ledger duties, interacting regularly with the wider business and providing ad-hoc support to the team whilst they prepare for their busiest period!
Role & Responsibilities
Managing the sales and purchase ledger process.
responsible for billing, reconciliations, and credit control
Assist with VAT returns
Assist with monthly accounts reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations
Process credit cards
Handling employee expenses
Assist with the preparation of payment runs for multiple entities
Ad hoc support to the finance team
The Candidate
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Self-starter and quick learner with high attention to details
A confident communicator, able to interact with customers and vendors
Confident using MS Excel
Experience of working in a finance team
Desire to work within a creative business and interest in the arts
