Billings Specialist - ASAP Start - Visual Effects

I am looking for a Billings Specialist to join one of my clients on an interim basis initially for 6 months.

My client is world-leading in visual and immersive experiences. You will join their friendly finance team in the heart of London and lend them your knowledge and expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to day credit management producing weekly debtor reports reconciling movements

  • Negotiating payment plans, dealing with billing issues etc

  • Sending Invoices out to clients and chasing unpaid invoices

  • Liaising with customers and building strong relationships

  • Maintaining UK sales ledger and ensure all bookings are posted on time

  • Forecasting customer receipts for cashflow

  • Contribute towards improving existing systems and processes to improve credit control and AR processes.

  • Assisting with customer reconciliations

  • Preparing the sales ledger information for Audit and assisting with the Year-End processes

  • Ownership of customer invoicing process for the UK entity

  • Experience of working with proforma invoices and customer deposits

  • Helping with ensuring that upstream processes have been completed to ensure a streamlined invoicing process

  • Allocating payments from customers in an accurate and timely manner

  • Working with shared inbox for customer billing enquiries

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and understand variances and underlying reasons.

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • AAT or similar qualification

  • Understanding of international banking (e.g. intermediary bank fees, foreign currency)

  • NetSuite and Salesforce experience advantageous

  • Experience of handling WIP advantageous

  • Understanding of UK VAT from a sales perspective

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to confidently liaise with various stakeholders outside of finance

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to internal and external customers.
