Calling all immediately available Category Managers with experience in TV/Film Consumer Products/Licensing. Major international studio have a fab new interim position to start asap and run for circa 6 months. Previous commercial experience within entertainment consumer products is essential. Working across product lines within apparel and lifestyle your day to day will include the following:

  • Lead business development & management across both categories for the UK

  • Identify & maximise business growth opportunities, fill regional gaps across the category considering age, segment, market, channel and franchise

  • Lead contract negotiations with licensees, analyse forecasts & business plans

  • Licensee account management to ensure contract deliverables are met throughout the term

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats and dynamics for category and key licensees

  • Attendance and presentation participation in licensee/partner & retail presentations

  • Fiscal responsibility to include quarterly revenue forecasting & annual budget planning

  • Gather and analyse business performance across category by licensee and retailer

  • Develop and execute growth objectives and strategies

  • Support brand marketing initiatives and develop and execute category plans

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key buyers across UK apparel retail

  • Drive Ecommerce product penetration and merchandise excellence

  • Maintain knowledge of key seasonality and buying cycles of retailers ensuring opportunities are maximised

  • Manage a portfolio of licensees to grow the Fashion & Living business. Critically evaluate the licensee base to ensure we have the right number of partners and best in category overall

Required Skills/Experience

  • Strong understanding of brand and property positioning, retail business development, retail distribution and the retail environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge of licensee's production and creative capabilities/limitations

  • Strategic and creative thinker

  • Flexible/ability to adjust to changing business environment

  • Strong merchant skills with an eye for trend
