Client Relationship Manager (US) - Promotional Consultancy

A global promotional consultancy are looking for Client Relationship Manager. You will be joining a new sales part of their most successful and top selling team that currently work with US based clients such as Amazon, Budweiser, Corona Beer and Klarna.

Your role will be to increase their reach into the US market by working in collaboration with the US New Business Team. They will be opening doors to secure new business and it will be your role to maintain and then expand that relationship with that client. Ensuring repeat increasing business through great service and excellent support

The agency help brands and agencies plan, implement and verify legally compliant promotions. They help bridge the gap between ideas and a well run execution. Their goal is to help protect clients budget and safeguard their reputation.

Salary: £35,000-£45,000

Location: Pinner. 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow close relationships with big international brands
  • Support and implement your part of a comprehensive sales strategy
  • Deliver consistently against personal and team gross margin sales targets
  • Self-motivation to expand new opportunities in their clients in the US
  • Manage a portfolio of 40-60 clients made up of both agencies (advertising, PR, digital) and brands / promoters to meet Gross Margin targets.
  • Have a wide knowledge of complex marketing principles that can be communicated in a understandable way. To become our clients trusted advisor and the go-to person for all aspects of promotional consultancy.
  • Use strong consultative selling skills to add value to a basic client brief - upsell and cross-sell additional services.
  • 80% client project work, profiling, proposals, shared pitching and organisation
  • 20% supporting and following up on our marketing campaigns to secure new opportunities, expanding our existing clients to gain new projects and contacts.

Key Skills:

  • Understanding of the US market and a proven track record of sales success
  • Strong presentation skills, including group presentations are a key part of the job.
  • Have direct experience in a consultative sales focused role ideally in a media/ marketing / management consultancy environment.
  • Be able to handle a wide range of clients of all types and levels in a quality manner.
  • Interested in promotions and marketing.
  • Commercially aware - able to construct well thought through business proposal documents and detailed project plans.
  • Strong and determined with a proven ability of hitting targets and objectives.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, organising and prioritising own workload and coordinating with others within the team, e.g. Project Managers and Legal.
  • Able to spot new business opportunities and upsell where no one else has seen it.
  • Excellent negotiator - able to add value to a discussion or a project and charge accordingly.
