Event Director, New York City (US based role) - Event Agency

This an incredibly exciting opportunity for an outstanding New York based events professional to join the fast-growing NYC event division of one of Europe's most dynamic agencies, widely recognised as a world-leading provider of event and travel solutions.

As Event Director, you will lead the successful delivery of events across key accounts. This is a hands-on, multifaceted role offering the opportunity to create innovative concepts, oversee large budgets, and shape the future of the event portfolio.

As a priority you will:

  • Ensure seamless project delivery, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and tailoring solutions to meet client needs
  • Manage and inspire the events team to drive exceptional outcomes
  • Play a pivotal role in strategic business development, including on-boarding new accounts and strengthening relationships with our existing clients
  • Think creatively and proactively, contributing to the growth of the business
  • Build strong relationships and gain a deep understanding of client requirements,
  • Overcome challenges and consistently deliver first-class service

To be successful you will need:

  • 10+ Years experience delivering Brand Experiences, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Expositions globally, including 5+ Years producing for an event or marketing agency
  • The ability to craft comprehensive proposals and deliver creative, compelling client pitches
  • Proven expertise in managing RFPs
  • Strong knowledge of AV and production processes
  • Exceptional skills in event operations, including the implementation and execution of efficient processes
  • In-depth understanding and sourcing of global venues
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, large budgets (over $1M) across multiple currencies
  • Proficiency in forecasting and revenue projection to support strategic planning
  • Strong line management skills, with experience leading teams of 4 or more
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English essential
  • Advanced proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and PowerPoint

This role is based in New York City and offers hybrid working, 4 days in the office and 1 day from home.
