Handle Recruitment are looking for a Sales Manager to join our client's Arts & Entertainment division, selling across a well renowned family music festival!

West London | 3 Days a week in office

Salary Negotiable + Uncapped Commission

Our Client

The Arts & Entertainment division owns and runs some of the UK's biggest festivals and events, from Big Feastival, Taste of London, Hampton Court Palace Festival, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and Glide at Battersea Power Station.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team to sell brand activations and partnership packages for Big Feastival.

Big Feastival is a family, food, drink, and music festival held on Alex James' Farm in The Cotswolds over the August Bank Holiday weekend, which attracts over 70,000 people over the 3 days.

The Role

The Sales Manager will focus on maximising revenue to meet or exceed targets for the festival. They will be responsible for selling stands and brand activations for Big Feastival and will provide clients with efficient and professional customer care.

In addition, the successful candidate will have a passion for live events and have sales experience, as they will play a key role in supporting both the Taste of London and Hampton Court Palace festivals too.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Maximise revenue to achieve and exceed event sales targets
  • Meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
  • Maintain high sales activity levels (40+ dials and 5+ effective calls daily)
  • Achieve agreed weekly and monthly targets
  • Source and convert new business through proactive lead generation
  • Maintain and develop the sales database with accurate client records
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies and sales approaches
  • Report on sales activity, pipeline progress, and results as required
  • Translate visitor marketing plans into exhibitor sales opportunities
  • Maintain and update event floor plans and sales documentation
  • Write and distribute effective sales mailers to the database
  • Liaise with internal departments including marketing, operations, accounts, and PR
  • Conduct client meetings and networking activities confidently
  • Manage the re-booking process to secure renewals and repeat business
  • Maintain event integrity by adhering to processes and ensuring yield optimisation
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape and trends
  • Contribute ideas to event development and identify new opportunities
  • Deliver a consistent and structured sales communication schedule
  • Manage briefs and workloads independently with strong accountability
  • Ensure all processes are followed with precision and attention to detail
  • Create and implement a customer care programme to strengthen relationships and drive loyalty

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, ideally in live event or hospitality sales
  • Proven track record in telesales and achieving results
  • Management experience
  • Experience in sales planning and forecasting
  • High IT competency, particularly Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Regular weekend work and travel to events across the Arts & Entertainment portfolio (e.g. The Big Feastival )
  • Occasional travel outside of event periods for client meetings
