Finance Assistant - Entertainment - Central London

We are looking for a driven Finance Assistant to join a growing Media Entertainment business based in Central London. This Finance Assistant will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance function including invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations and other ad hoc finance duties.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, someone with a passion to work within a Creative environment and looking for a new challenge.

Key responsibilities:

  • Following invoices through to weekly payment and liaison with managers and key staff
  • Setting up weekly payment runs and ad hoc payments when necessary, including intra-account transfers
  • Entering all bank transactions onto NetSuite and completing weekly bank reconciliations
  • Administering corporate credit cards; raising the application for sign off, ensuring CC holders have signed their agreement form and adhere to timely reconciliations
  • Review and processing of expense claims.
  • Assist in the management recharging process.
  • Dealing with queries and any issues relating to invoices, purchase orders, payments, credit cards, and expenses
  • Weekly bank reconciliations and monitoring of cash positions
  • Taking the lead on TV Debtors; updating the invoicing schedule, raising invoices when trigger points are met, liaising with Production, and chasing in overdue debts
  • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaising with the finance assistants for the other entities to complete monthly inter-company reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing ad hoc business analysis.
  • General administrative tasks and support for the Team.
  • Ensuring efficiency of process and pro-actively identifying opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancement.

Key skills:

  • A year+ experience within Finance would be highly desirable
  • A can do, positive attitude with a proactive work approach
  • A good understanding of MS Office - Excel is a bonus!

  • Passionate about working within the Media/Entertainment industry
