HQ Finance Manager - Computer Gaming
Innovative and creative computer gaming company are looking for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified HQ Finance Manager to join their highly successful London based team.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Director the is role will lead the financial management of HQ. This includes leading the HQ financial control and reporting function, providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, and maintaining a robust control environment.
The successful candidate will provide timely completion of month-end close with all deliverables met on schedule, ensure the finance team is well supported and are adequately resourced and guided.
Key deliverables:
Oversee all HQ financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash management
Lead the HQ month-end and year-end close processes
Managing the 2 accounts assistants, overseeing their work including payment runs, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliation and AP & AR postings
Design, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
Maintain accurate intercompany accounts and ensure timely reconciliation between HQ and subsidiary entities
Oversee payroll processing for HQ employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment, compliance with employment law, and proper accounting treatment of payroll taxes and benefits.
Management of UK VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
Areas of accountability:
Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS.
Leading the financial close process and controlling the financial environment.
Maintain and optimize financial systems and tools (Netsuite, SAP Concur)
Developing and mentoring the HQ finance team to achieve high performance.
Managing relationships with external auditors and advisors.
Driving transformation initiatives within the finance function.
What we're looking for from you:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in financial leadership roles
Proven experience managing full-cycle accounting operations
IFRS experience required
Advanced Excel skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and develop a junior finance team
Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
Ability to navigate and manage change within a rapidly evolving organizational environment
Netsuite and SAP Concur experience a plus but not required
Experience in the gaming/entertainment industry is a plus but not required
