The business and finance function is known for its collaborative, friendly and inclusive culture and this role will sit within an established accounting team. The role is integral to ensuring accurate financial reporting, analysis, and compliance across the business and is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant who is studying towards a qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
Key Responsibilities
Processing weekly supplier payments and setting up new supplier accounts
Coordinating weekly production cash requirements
Managing inter company bank transfers and supporting weekly cash flow funding
Processing weekly expense claims and supplier invoices
Monitoring and reconciling, credit cards and petty cash
Monitoring supplier month-end positions
Posting month-end journals
Performing bank reconciliations across corporate and production accounts
Overseeing the Accounts inbox and incoming post
Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts
Supporting interim and year-end audits and Companies House compliance
Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Responding to finance-related queries from suppliers and production teams
Corporate Reporting Responsibilities
Supporting monthly cash flow reporting to Group Head Office
Assisting with month-end close reporting
Assisting with corporate VAT returns for UK entities
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Assisting with ad hoc queries from Group Head Office
About You
Studying towards a finance qualification - CIMA/ACCA
Basic knowledge of accounting software
Strong Excel skills with the ability to accurately manipulate large data sets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Confident building effective working relationships across the business
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in film and television. This is an office-based position with full study support on offer (ACCA/CIMA/AAT)
