As a Finance Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable operations, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include -
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Managing vendor and customer accounts, processing invoices, setting up new accounts in SAP, and handling payment processing.
- Bank Reconciliation: Assisting in monthly bank reconciliations, providing commentary and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Month-End Close Prep: Collaborating with the team to prepare for month-end close and assist in variance analysis, ensuring all financial entries align with reporting requirements.
- Audit Support: Assisting with annual audits and ensuring compliance with internal financial guidelines.
- Archiving & Documentation: Managing paperless archiving of contracts, invoices, and financial documentation.
- Ad-Hoc Finance Tasks: Supporting the team with various finance-related tasks as needed, from journal entries to reports.
Candidate requirements -
- Numeracy & Attention to Detail: Strong financial acumen and experience handling multiple financial tasks simultaneously with accuracy.
- SAP Knowledge: Previous experience with SAP accounting software is a must. Familiarity with the system helps in managing both accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel: Advanced skills in Excel, including financial analysis and data reporting.
- Experience with Month-End Close Procedures: Understanding of month-end reconciliation and journal entry processes.
- Previous Media/Entertainment Industry Experience (Desirable): Familiarity with the media or broadcast industry would be a plus.
- Strong Organisational & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to prioritise and manage multiple financial operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
