Senior Management Accountant - Digital Entertainment

Global digital entertainment company are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to focus on operating expenses, production expenses, capex and managing three direct reports across production accounting and accounts payable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure prompt and accurate month end reporting
  • Production of Balance Sheet reconciliations within agreed timescales to ensure controls compliance
  • Improving systems and procedures, to maintain a reliable and consistent reporting & control environment
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of junior and new finance staff members
  • Production of ad hoc reports and analysis based on business requirements
  • Adoption and monitoring of financial reporting standards across the group, ensuring accounting policies, controls and procedures are reviewed and updated to facilitate seamless adoption and ongoing control
  • Assist with the onboarding of new entities, including monthly reporting, making sure all costs are identified, liaising with functional departments both at entity and group level, ensuring all information is captured
  • Liaise with external consultants/advisors to ensure timely filings of tax computations, statutory accounts, indirect taxes (included foreign subsidiaries)
  • Assist in the statutory audit process from the beginning to the end for all the entities in the group, including:
  • Preparation of supporting schedules as requested by the auditors and resolution of audit queries
  • Review of statutory accounts prepared under FRS 102 and provision of feedback comments and amendments

Requirements

  • Able to understand the bigger picture and how Finance's inputs and outputs can affect the business
  • Experience working within a fast growth business environment, able to prioritise in a fast moving & dynamic environment
  • Experience working with professionals of all levels, from juniors to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal and team bonding skills to contribute to company values and team culture
  • Proactive and hands-on achiever, with good attention to detail
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and team bonding skills to contribute to company values and team culture
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Navision would be a bonus

Qualifications

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent - required
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience - required
  • Experience in statutory audit process, including preparation and review of statutory accounts - required
  • Ideally experience in media industry with a background in practice
