Handle are working with a leading advertising agency to bring a standalone Head of People to their team on a part-time basis.

This SME advertising business works with some of the most prominent brands, helping to deliver on advertising campaigns and a variety of marketing comms. They promote a fun, entrepreneurial culture driven by strong core values! As the first HR hire, you will be responsible for shaping this further - a real blank canvas when it comes to People Strategy. Up until now, they have been using a HR Consultant, so the basics are in place but plenty of room to improve and drive new change.

It's a broad generalist role, looking after around 70 employees. Initially, you'll be delving into the agency culture, and how they currently manage all things people related from admin, payroll through to culture, values, development and DEI, building a great foundation and brilliant basics - HR processes, looking at a HRIS for them, and then developing a proper HR Strategy.

Like most agencies, they have a key focus on Recruitment and L&D to hire and retain the best talent on the market. The new Head of People will be responsible for centralising the approach in these areas - from aligning JDs and hiring processes to implementing new L&D programmes to help managers get the best out of their people.

You'll be an HR all-rounder - you don't need to have standalone experience previously, but must be happy to roll up your sleeves where needed! Ideally, candidates will come from a creative background - either agency, SME or a similar organisation.

The role is part-time - what this looks like can vary from 3 to 4 days a week. They have a hybrid working policy - 2 to 3 days in their Central London office. Please note that the salary listed will be pro-rated to part-time hours!
