Interim Commercial Financial Controller wanted for a rapidly growing creative agency! This is a stand-alone role in the UK but works closely with the wider finance team in Germany. My client is looking for a forward-thinking Financial Controller whose main interim focus will be to help prepare for next year's budget. Previous agency experience is essential for this one!

Key responsibilities include -

  • Oversee all financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring full compliance and alignment with group standards
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning processes to support sound financial decision-making
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality monthly and annual reporting for submission to the Group FP&A team
  • Drive business performance with a strong focus on cost efficiency and operational excellence
  • Act as a commercial sparring partner to management and the wider organisation, supporting strategic and financial decisions
  • Serve as an active member of the management team, contributing to overall business leadership and governance

Candidate requirements -

  • Have worked in a similar senior finance role within a creative agency
  • Be an accomplished finance professional with deep expertise in controlling, value flows, and supply chain management
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to driving improvement
  • Bring proven leadership experience, ideally gained within an agency or similarly fast-paced environment
  • Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA or CIMA
