Interim Financial Controller needed for a global music brand! This is a 3-4 month paternity cover that manages a team of 2 and plays a key role in the smooth running of the whole financial reporting function. The business is currently in the mist of a Xero integration process and is therefore looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of the accounting system.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Xero-Based Financial Reporting: Take ownership of producing a range of internal and external reports using Xero, with customised reporting mappings, as well as supporting statutory reporting requirements
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain dynamic budget and forecast templates to support financial planning and performance tracking across the business
  • Systems Integration & Issue Resolution: Act as the go-to expert for resolving system issues, with a focus on maintaining and improving integrations between Xero and third-party applications such as ExpenseIn, Equals, and ApprovalMax
  • Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the implementation and ongoing integration of fixed asset registers within Xero, ensuring accurate depreciation and asset tracking
  • Technology-Led Financial Planning: Identify and implement fit-for-purpose budgeting and forecasting tools to reduce reliance on Excel-based processes
  • Automated Reconciliation Solutions: Source and implement appropriate Xero add-ons for automated reconciliations

Candidate requirements -

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working with Xero accounting software, including advanced reporting, integration with third-party tools, and managing system-related tasks
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP/statutory accounts, management reporting, and the ability to prepare external reporting packs, including Notes to the Accounts
  • Experience developing and managing budgeting and forecasting tools and templates
  • Working knowledge of fixed asset accounting and system integration for tracking and depreciation
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, implement, and optimise finance system integrations
