Interim Accounts Payable Assistant needed for a market leading media publishing brand! This role sits within the P2P function, so you'll have exposure to the whole payables process from front to back. The successful candidate will assist the P2P Manager in maintaining strong financial controls to reduce the risk of fraud or error and also ensure compliance with PAYE, VAT, and other applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities include -

  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers and contributors based on approved POs and coding, in line with company payment terms

  • Monitor aged creditors and invoices on hold, taking action to resolve account issues

  • Support the P2P Manager in completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tasks, including system close, reconciliations, and KPI reporting

  • Assist with onboarding new suppliers, ensuring compliance with due diligence and P2P policies

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to resolve issues, support new processes, and promote timely PO creation and training where needed

  • Support month-end processes by addressing outstanding invoicing issues with the business

Candidate Requirements -

  • Have worked in another fast-paced AP position for a minimum of 2 years

  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay best practices

  • Solid accounting knowledge

  • Proficient in Oracle Fusion Financials

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel

  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with effective problem-solving abilities
