We are looking for a highly motivated senior Marketing Manager to join an award-winning Events business that deliver events across Africa and Latin America's energy sectors.

The successful candidate will help to plan, organise and execute innovative marketing campaigns primarily across a portfolio of international events- there is travel involved with a huge event lined up in June!

Supported by the MD and Group Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and implementation of exceptional global marketing campaigns, delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have brilliant attention to detail, be highly creative and an excellent team player with the ability to manage multiple projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering cross-channel digital marketing campaigns in line with the event or project objectives.
  • Writing a marketing strategy for the events the candidate is leading in line with the latest marketing trends and executing that strategy.
  • Assisting with the design, production and distribution of all promotional materials relating to the portfolio.
  • Writing and proofing copy for a range of marketing platforms & materials including websites, social media, emails and brochures.
  • Maintaining and updating conference websites.
  • Using digital channels and technologies to enhance the online presence of the business.
  • Managing and segmenting data, identifying gaps, developing new data sources and implementing a data build plan.
  • Continuous analysis and evaluation of marketing campaigns to improve performance.
  • Assisting with the PR activity relating to the conference portfolio, researching material for press releases, building relationships with relevant press and partners.

The Candidate

  • Must have at least 2 year's previous experience in a similar position.
  • Solid understanding of the events and digital media landscape.
  • Ability to write and executive strong marketing strategy in line with latest developments and trends.
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently.
  • Strong experience in areas including insight development and audience segmentation.
  • Literate and numerate with exemplary verbal and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Sound knowledge of digital marketing practices and channels such as Google Analytics, SEO, PPC and social media.
