PR and Communications Assistant - Entertainment

12 month contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior candidate with some PR related experience to join the PR and Communications team at a world leading media and entertainment company that creates and distributes premium and popular content through its well-known consumer brands.

The department in which you will be working for, hosts one of the greatest motions picture, television production and post production facilities in the world and as a PR and Communications Assistant, you will be managing the important press office duties that take place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide written drafts for internal communication documents, newsletters, press releases etc
  • Manage the press office inbox, VIP and press and blogger enquiries
  • Assist the PR and Comms team to host press and accompanying film crews across the division
  • Assist with meeting and greeting important guests to particular events
  • Work across media events on photo calls, conferences both on and off site
  • Monitor different media competitors coverage and provide reports to the wider team
  • Provide support when working with agencies to ensure that press books are all up to date
  • Organize assets with images, press packs - ensuring tickets are issued
  • Help manage and raise the publicity budget
  • Set up meetings and general administration
  • Assist in responding to charity requests, owning budgets and meeting with community partners
  • Deliver monthly coverage reports as required
  • Monitor press inboxes across the division and respond to queries

  • Ability to cope under pressure with clients and be able to respond to quickly appropriately to request

  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough attention to details
  • The ability to find information and resources required
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and media software
  • An interest in journalism
