We are looking for a Production Analyst to join leading and rapidly expanding Theatre group. An ideal candidate should be highly professional, proactive with excellent communication skills alongside a strong passion for the performing arts. Self-motivated, with a strong sense of customer service, you will be flexible to ever-changing business priorities, have a calm attitude and be solution focused.
This role offers hybrid working and requires regular trips to the Woking office.
Responsibilities:
Analyse financial and non-financial data to create actionable insight to the future profitability of the productions & programming
Support the Head of Production Finance in delivery of the production budgeting and forecasting process
Assist in developing reporting, forecasting and budget models to support the business as necessary, including regular KPI reporting
Liaise with key stakeholders to agree pricing and commission (royalty) requirements
Review royalty statements and distribution to royalty holders
Maintain a financial database for all productions
Contribute to the preparation of the monthly management accounts, challenging results to ensure accuracy and providing reporting and analysis as appropriate
Actively work with operational management to develop an understandings of production performance, carrying out research to identify opportunities to grow revenue and profit
Challenge and control the making of informed business decisions, using both financial and non-financial metrics
As required, prepare information in support of strategic presentations. Understand the needs and wants of key stakeholders to provide them with what they need
Prepare thorough and consistent production models, challenging assumptions, preparing sensitivity and return on investment analysis
Build key stakeholder relationships and communicate frequently with producers and production accounting teams to ensure costs are tracked and data is accurate
Assist with internal and external audits
Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis requests in a timely and effective manner
Any adhoc duties as and when required
Skills & Experience:
Minimum three years' financial experience, production accounting experience is desirable
Theatre Production Accounting would be ideal
Experience with union shows and guidelines
Proficient in building budgets
Well organised, process driven, and delivery focused
Ability to turn complex concepts into simple language
Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with PowerBI also desirable
