Handle are recruiting for a Royalty Analyst for a leading music rights for screen company based in London. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a royalties function, be driven and have a key interest in music and entertainment. The successful Candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Consolidate and manipulate large data sets for analysis

  2. Track incoming royalty distributions and flag late payments

  3. Update and maintain the company copyright and royalty database as new statements come in each month

  4. Perform work checks to ensure the catalogue is accurately registered with the major Performing Rights Organisations

  5. Assist with other copyright tasks e.g. cue sheet registration checks, suspense reviews, USCO registration review

  6. Adhoc analysis to support the wider team e.g. organising data for accountants; tracking the catalogue's performance on major video streaming platforms & broadcast networks; researching film & tv industry trends

Requirements

  1. Proficient in excel; able to efficiently work with large datasets across multiple files with pivot tables, vlookup etc.

  2. Strong attention to detail and diligence in completing repetitive tasks

  3. Comfortable with planning your own workload effectively, working autonomously and seeking guidance when appropriate

  4. Flexible with changing priorities and motivated to recommend changes that would benefit the business workflow

  5. Experience within music publishing / copyright and royalty administration is advantageous

The successful candidate will have a passion for music and have a good knowledge of Microsoft excel, pay high level attention to detail and have strong numeracy skills. Good communication skills are essential to ensure strong internal and external relationships.
