Handle Recruitment are excited to be recruiting a Royalties and Business Affairs Assistant to work for a Leading Music company based in London. This unique role will be responsible for supporting the legal administration process as well as managing the royalties processing and management of legal documents related to royalty payments ensuring monies are correctly allocated.
Whilst this role will also offer additional administrative support to the Business Affairs Team they will work closely with the Royalties and Rights Administration team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced in the music industry and looking to develop within royalties/legal and music administration.
This role includes but is not limited to the below tasks:
- Processing royalties submissions: Evaluate and process incoming submissions from artists and other payees.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all processing tasks to maximise pay-through rates and minimise discrepancies.
- Client Communication: Provide excellent customer service via phone and email, conducting outreach as needed to clarify information or obtain necessary documentation from clients.
- Problem Resolution: Assist with support calls, inquiry overflow, and resolve any disputes and queries.
- Compliance: Ensure that all processing adheres to internal policies, licensing, and copyright regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for all processed royalties statements.
Candidate requirements:
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre and will have a track record of proficiency with royalties databases and Microsoft Excel for data analysis. The candidate will understand music publishing, copyright, and royalty streams and have practical experience of working within the music industry within legal or royalties - This is essential.
