I am looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join a visual effects client of mine on an interim basis. I need someone who is a strong modeller who can crunch, read and talk numbers. If you can handle large sets of data and provide strong analysis of these thane this is the role for you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working under the FP&A Director, this role will allow you to be at the heart of the business, working alongside Department Heads to build partnerships between Finance and the wider business. You will add value as a trusted adviser, aiming to improve awareness of business performance and forward-looking strategies, by presenting the conclusions of financial data in an understandable way. By tracking actuals vs budget monthly, you will better understand the business model of each department, which will help in driving the budgeting and forecasting process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Key to driving the budget and forecast processes within the company, building models to gather data and present actuals on the full P&L, with ownership of the revenue and overhead inputs.
  • Own the preparation of monthly board packs inclusive of commentary on key trends and observations on the businesses KPIs.
  • Lead business partnering with multiple departments - involving tracking actuals vs. budget, department performance analysis, project profitability and other ad-hoc management information.
  • Assist the finance managers with the review of monthly variance analysis.
  • Work closely with the wider finance team, operations and sales teams across our key regional geographies focusing on optimisation of margin.
  • Assist the CFO and finance team on ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Identify and establish efficiency improvements and cost savings through FP&A.
  • Work with the BI team to create PowerBI dashboards and data analysis to drive business growth and performance.

ABOUT YOU

  • Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 4-5 years within an FP&A role
  • Modelling experience - able to build models from scratch
  • Strong data analysis skills and an ability to manage large data sets from multiple sources
  • A natural curiosity to learn and a 'can do' mentality with a strong preference to suggest solutions rather than just identify problems.

  • Excellent with Microsoft and Google Suite - Excel, Word, Sheets, Docs, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work to tight deadlines
  • Results driven with high attention to detail.
