Location: Victoria Warehouse (Hybrid Office and Remote Working), Manchester

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual with a social media background and an enthusiasm for electronic music and festivals, who would like to work within a busy events company.

The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Group Festival's branded social media channels, producing engaging content for all digital platforms, and regularly analysing digital trends and performance. Reporting into the Festival Marketing Director, the candidate will work collaboratively with teams including PR, Design, Production, and more to create and publish content that reflects the festival brand whilst growing engagement and communicating key event information.

The candidate should be engrossed in youth, digital and electronic music culture, be able to work as part of a team, constantly provide innovative content ideas and present them to stakeholders.

They will be required to work on site at a number of events over the summer which all span weekends.

Who you are

Essential

  • A passion for social media and extensive knowledge of all channels

  • Excellent knowledge of Electronic Music and the European dance scene

  • Knowledge in UK festival markets and events

  • Excellent knowledge of the festival's culture, relevant talent and influencers

  • Knowledge of paid media

  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to relate to different audiences

  • Intermediate experience of graphic design using Adobe Creative Suites

  • Intermediate or above experience of Microsoft Office (or similar)

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to manage a number of projects at one time and to work to tight deadlines

  • Experience working with brands and/or events

  • Working experience within a similar industry

  • Some video editing experience

What the role includes

Social Media

  • Pitch, develop and create social content in line with the festival brands, with the aim to grow our audience and ultimately sell tickets

  • Lead on content themes and roll out with the rest of the marketing team to ensure cohesive messaging that's comprehensive to the festival and festival goers

  • Build and maintain a social media strategy for the festival, planning launches and big moments in advance and regularly posting on-trend content, as well as essential information

  • Be continuously aware of new trends on social media and within the music industry

  • Monitor conversation on all social media platforms and respond to customer queries as needed, including inbox management

  • Identify new social media platforms and develop audiences there

  • Work onsite at the festival to manage and produce a constant stream of social content, managing a team who will assist in collecting content

  • Regularly report on analytics and trends and feed into the paid media content plan with an external agency for large format shows.

  • Run paid media campaigns in house for small format shows with support from Marketing Director.

Content

  • Leading on content productions for the festival, alongside the Marketing Team

  • Collaborate with the Head of Design to hire and manage a team of videographers and photographers to work on site at the festivals

  • Design digital marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite

  • Brief in marketing assets including video to internal and external creatives

  • Create simple graphic or video assets (using the festival brand assets) for use on social campaigns

  • Liaise with artist management, content creators and labels for exclusive content

  • Occasionally work on site at venues, shows or press days to shoot video content

In addition

  • Establish and nurture relationships with brands, stakeholders and partners

  • Assist the PR team in developing and implementing an effective Influencer marketing strategy
