We are pleased to be working with a member led, music focused organisation providing digital music licensing for independents across the globe. This role plays a vital part in the daily management and enhancement of their data management processes and data application infrastructure. As a TechnicalData Manager, you will be tasked with the day-to-day oversight and optimisation of their data management procedures and infrastructure. The role is pivotal in ensuring the precision and efficiency of their data operations, encompassing a diverse array of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development of Data Lake Phase 2, addressing bug fixes and Phase 1 maintenance.
  • Guarantee the structure and accessibility of Discovery data for prompt analysis and reporting by the Reporting and Insights team.
  • Maintain and update Auxiliary tables within the Data Lake.
  • Supervise the execution of routine data scripts to generate insights.
  • Implement the Apple process and oversee SVOD/AVOD Facebook data management.
  • Automation and Reporting:
  • Actively identify opportunities for script automation.
  • Monitor trends data and proactively report on delays/errors.
  • Evaluate third-party royalty processing alternatives.
  • Ensure the punctuality of Spotify Monthly Reporting.
  • Lead the integration of dashboards in Avalon for team and member accessibility.
  • Drive the implementation of a Trends Alerting system within Reporting and Insights.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience.
  • Multiple years of experience in data operations, project management, and process optimisation.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in managing a data warehouse or data lake.
  • Exhibit a robust knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proficient in SQL, BI tools, and scripting languages.
  • Showcase excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
