Administrator Handle Payroll Solutions

Hybrid - Farringdon 2 days a week

Handle Freelance Solutions is a payroll services business. We run a payroll service on behalf of a number of different clients, who each need to pay varying numbers of freelance workers. 

We are looking for an administrator with excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and data entry experience to join this fantastic team. The role hybrid with 3 days home based working and 2 days in our Farringdon offices 

We take huge pride in the very high standard of our service and we look for staff to join the team, who will demonstrate that same commitment and passion for quality.

What will you be doing?
You will be fully accountable for your area of administration, ensuring all you do is done on time, to a high level of accuracy and within our tight deadlines.

Daily duties include:

  • Data input - recording all details for new freelance workers into the payroll system and database
  • Following process guidelines to ensure all data is meeting compliance requirements
  • Daily and weekly reporting to identify workers eligible for Agency Worker Regulation changes.
  • Managing queries and the ensuing responses are dealt with within our SLA deadlines.
  • Carrying out checking processes to ensure all information is provided to the payroll team in time for processing.

Required skills & experience:

  • Experience of data-entry will be essential.
  • Excellent telephone and email communication.
  • You should have worked in a process-driven environment and the ability to absorb information and follow process is essential.
  • Payroll knowledge and understanding would be an advantage.
  • This can be a very busy and time-pressured environment, so we expect you to be able to work at pace.
  • We are judged on our accuracy, so you must have a keen eye for detail.
  • We are all accountable for our own areas of work, so you will have already have demonstrated an ability to manage your own workload and solve problems.
  • You must be a good communicator, able to build positive relationships, whether with colleagues or clients,
  • We expect there to be ongoing flexibility around working style and home v office working, so you must be self-motivated and flexible in your approach and keen to take responsibility.

A growing retail group based in West London is seeking a part-time Payroll Specialist to manage UK and international payroll operations. This 30-hour per week role will be responsible for payroll processing for approximately 300 employees across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient delivery. Please note, previous Workday systems experience is essential.   Responsibilities: Process UK and international payrolls (circa 300 employees) from data input through to BACs transmission. Maintain payroll records, including calculations for salary, commission/bonus, benefits, and share awards. Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality of pay data. Prepare payroll reporting, including P11D, P60, and P45 documentation. Liaise with HMRC and support audit enquiries related to payroll. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll, timesheets, and incentive calculations.   Requirements: Previous payroll experience using Workday payroll is essential. Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements. Experience supporting payroll system implementation or transition is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Confident communicator able to work independently and collaboratively.
