Celebrating Creativity... 🌟

This week we’re celebrating 'Lost Music Venues' at the V&A South Kensington, a new exhibition exploring the spaces that shaped the UK’s music scene.

Bringing together around 50 ‘lost’ performance spaces from the 1980's to 2010's, the exhibition is packed with the objects, stories and moments that defined them - including original venue signs and club flyers to Oasis handwritten lyrics, Blur set lists and memories shared by the people who were there.

Across four sections, it traces everything from the rise of grassroots gig spaces and club culture to the venues that launched artists, built communities and became cultural landmarks in their own right.

Part celebration, part time capsule, the exhibition highlights the lasting impact of grassroots venues on UK culture while also shining a light on the challenges these spaces face today, and why protecting them matters for the future of creativity. And it's free to enter!
