Handle are currently working with an awesome media brand who are looking for a part time Accounts Payable Assistant (4 days a week). In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, managing staff expenses and credit card reconciliations, maintaining financial records, and assisting with the flow of critical financial information.
Key responsibilities include -
- Performing regular purchase ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Reviewing and reconciling corporate credit card statements and employee expense submissions
- Managing the Accounts Payable inbox and handling communications with suppliers
- Securing internal approvals for all expenditure in a timely manner
- Handling multi-currency bank reconciliations (GBP, EUR, USD)
- Preparing and processing payment runs accurately and on schedule
- Processing supplier invoices with precision and ensuring correct categorisation of expenses
Candidate requirements -
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and a strong working knowledge of VAT
- Experience using accounting software - ideally Sage 50 Accounts
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work from our London studio 2 days per week as part of a hybrid setup
