Handle Recruitment are proud to be working with the leading International Festival of Creativity to recruit a team of Awards Specialists for the run up to the 2022 festival. The festival is widely regarded as the Oscars of the advertising, brand marketing and creative communications world and is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to gain invaluable experience within the creative, advertising and events industries.

Each year, the festival receives over 40,000 entries from 90 countries around the globe that are then passed over to juries for the judging process to begin. They have a dedicated Awards team to oversee this process but need interim candidates from April 5th - 20th June 2022 to support them in the London office as well as potentially the opportunity to work on site at the festival in Cannes, France in June.

Successful candidates will build up exceptional knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry and will gain unmatched exposure to the top creative work currently being produced. In exchange, the role involves working in a high pressured environment. It is an exciting and challenging experience, which requires a greater level of commitment and dedication than most temporary roles therefore we can only consider candidates who can fully commit to the entirety of the assignment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Checking the work of entry processors and signing off complete submissions in preparation for judging
  • Entry processing and dealing with customer queries when necessary
  • Meticulous quality control of entries prior to on-site judging. Preparing entry materials, analysis and calculation of entry data for production of preparatory judging schedules
  • Managing the pre judging stage for entries before onsite judging commences
  • Administration for and supervision of juries for Cannes Lions, presentation of the entries to the jury and providing direct support to the appointed jury president and jurors
  • Manage jury discussion and awarding of prizes on site at Cannes or over video if the festival is held remotely

We are looking for candidates with initiative and self-motivation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to compose professional and articulate emails as well as speaking to clients over the phone. Successful candidates will have the ability to take direction working within a busy team and the confidence to take on a leadership role if required. Experience in managing/ running a team is not essential but will be preferable.
