Music Support - charity trustee job advert

Music Support is a charity founded in 2016 by people from within the music industry. Our mission is to provide help and support to peers who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction and to promote early intervention through support services, education, and workshops.

As a trustee, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those working in the music industry. You will work alongside the dedicated and passionate team of trustees, staff, and volunteers, to help shape the future direction of the charity and ensure that their services continue to meet the needs of those they support.

Why are Music Support looking for new trustees?

"We have decided to increase the size and scope of our board to reflect our maturity, operational and financial growth and to ensure that we are in the best possible shape for the next 5 years of providing service to the music industry."

  • This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

  • New Trustees will need a successful DBS check.

  • 1 term of Trusteeship will last for 3 years. We recommend a maximum of 2 terms per trustee (except for Founding Trustees) although this is not mandatory.

Not sure if you are ready to become a charity trustee?

Although the experience of governance and strategic planning in a charity or non-profit context is a bonus, you are more important than any previous experience as a Trustee. Training can be provided for those unfamiliar with being a trustee.

Music Support is a fabulous charity that saves lives, and we hope you'll join us on this fantastic adventure. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your interest in becoming a trustee.
