We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join an expanding team and act as a business partner to all departments to ensure that quality information is delivered on a timely basis and processes are efficiently managed as we look to grow our highly reputable client base.
A successful candidate should be ambitious and be able to come in and hit the ground running and strategically drive the business through this exciting phase of growth. This will be a new role and will report into the Group Finance Director, working alongside the Finance Business Partner and overseeing the Finance Assistant.
This will be an extremely rounded role and will be suitable for someone who has recently reached Finance Manager level and is looking to develop their career in a successful and growing business.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts for the leadership team, including accounting for revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll
Assisting the FD with Ad Hoc reports to measure company performance looking for ways to improve profitability
Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT
Assist the FD with the preparation of Annual Statutory Accounts
Respond to requests from internal teams in relation to project invoices and costs
Compile Payroll information for external payroll provider and check
Provide daily support and guidance for the Finance Assistant
Assist the FD in improving efficiency across all finance processes and ensuring consistency of process across all group entities.
Key Skills/Experience:
PQ or Finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Creative / Media Agency experience or similar
Advanced excel skills
Experience of SAGE 50, and larger accounting systems experience may be beneficial
A proactive and commercial mindset with strong business partnering experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
High numeracy and sound technical skills
Problem-solving skills and initiative
Strong prioritisation skills, attention to detail and an investigative nature
The ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships
Experience of improving processes and it will desirable to have had experience of changing accounting systems
Understanding of events industry or project accounting will be desirable, as will an interest in sport and entertainment
