Are you an accomplished senior events professional with a commercial mindset and a drive for operational excellence? My client, a bold and in demand events agency based in the Greater Manchester area, is seeking a Head of Events responsible for commercial performance, maintaining and exceeding client service standards whilst leading and inspiring the events team. This is an exciting role and time to join an agency trusted by iconic brands.

As a priority you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the operations team to achieve their full potential

  • Drive operational standards, ensuring every event is delivered seamlessly, on time and on budget

  • Provide strategic oversight of budgets, resourcing, and profitability across all projects

  • Identify opportunities for growth within accounts and support the business development function

  • Apply a consultative approach with clients whilst building and nurturing long term supplier partnerships

  • Lead the strategic development of the events team

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Department to ensure every event concept pushes creative boundaries

To be successful, you will need/ be:

  • An extensive background in leading operations or events teams within an agency environment

  • Experience of delivering events that exceed both client expectations and commercial targets

  • Strong leadership capability with demonstrable experience in mentoring and developing high performing teams

  • Commercially astute, with evidence of previous accountability for P&L and margin delivery

  • A confident communicator and strategic consultant with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Well-connected within the events industry, with the ability to harness relationships for commercial benefit

  • A current driving licence and ability to travel around the UK & overseas
