Handle are partnering with an artist-led gallery, known for their ground-breaking and cutting-edge exhibitions. With the company expanding at a rapid rate and plans to go global, they are seeking a Head of People to join the team on a permanent, part-time (3 days per week) basis.

This is a newly created role, taking over from the Operations director who has so far been handling the HR function. Very much a true generalist remit, you will be covering all aspects of HR with key focuses on recruitment, updating and creating new policies, and further promoting and ingraining company culture.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader; you will be confident working with senior leadership and pushing back on ideas to ensure the best HR practice for the company. Relationship building is at that heart of this role, being able to connect with your team as individuals, alongside the wider business to implement change effectively - empowering the team whilst also managing expectations as the company continues to grow.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have demonstrated experience in a standalone role where you have cultivated a strong culture. You will be well versed in employment law, HR legislation and HR systems. Recent SME experience is essential and a background in media or art is advantageous.

The current working model is part-time, 3 days a week, with 2 of these days in the office and flex core hours. Benefits include private medical, 2 week Christmas closure, a monthly well-being allowance and a competitive pension scheme.

If you are looking for the next step in your career, please apply now!

Handle actively welcomes applicants from under-represented backgrounds - we pride ourselves on attracting the best talent for every opportunity through a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
