Currently working with a global media & entertainment company, seeking a skilled Post Production Engineer to join their team on an initial 3 month contract. This is an integral role supporting high-end post production workflows across video editing, 2D/3D graphics, and audio mixing environments in a fast-paced broadcast infrastructure.
Working as part of a cross-functional technical team, the successful candidate will provide second and third-line support, ensure platform stability, and drive continuous improvements across post production systems & technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Providing second & third-line support for hardware and software across EMEA post production facilities, covering server/desktop admin and end-to-end support for editing, graphics, and audio systems
- Serving as a technical escalation point and centre of excellence for internal stakeholders, providing guidance on workflows and best practices; efficiently troubleshooting and resolving workflow issues
- Maintaining accurate documentation of technical incidents, resolutions, and workflows using internal systems
- Planning and executing software / hardware upgrades, installations, and system enhancements in collaboration with engineering leadership and vendors
- Ensuring all systems align with corporate IT security protocols and technical standards
- Conducting preventative maintenance, patching, and lifecycle upgrades of infrastructure components
- Managing inventory of spare equipment and ensuring availability of essential components
Key Requirements
- A degree in Electronic Engineering, Media Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a closely related discipline, covering areas such as: Systems administration (Linux, macOS, Windows), Kernel patching and scripting (Bash), RAID and NAS storage technologies, IP networking, AWS cloud technologies, Virtualization and hardware troubleshooting (CPU/GPU)
- 3+ years of proven experience in systems administration or post production engineering (ideally working in the television, broadcast, or media production industry)
- Industry recognised certifications are as bonus - e.g. Microsoft Certified, AWS Certified, Linux Professional Certification, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
