How to spot a recruitment scam

🚨Please be vigilant of recruitment scams🚨

Imitation is supposedly the sincerest form of flattery. It really isn’t! The recruitment industry has recently seen an increase in scammers sending unsolicited WhatsApp, Facebook, and SMS messages offering work opportunities that do not exist. In most cases the scammer has simply copied and pasted the name of an actual recruitment consultant into their message or profile. It might not be very sophisticated, but it is hugely distressing for both the target of the scam, and the person the scammer is imitating. Do not share any personal info until you have verified if the message is legitimate!

And if you think that you have shared any personal information with a potential scammer please report the scam to Action Fraud.
