One of the world's leading sports branding and management companies is looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join its high-performing group finance team. This role is ideal for a finance or accounting graduate currently working in a finance-focused position, looking to take the next step in their career within an exciting and prestigious industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the group finance function in the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Perform monthly and quarterly bank and intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in the production of financial reports for senior management
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Liaise with external auditors, resolving queries and investigating any anomalies
  • Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Support year-end processes, including audit file preparation
  • Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements

About You

  • Finance/Accounting graduate with relevant practical experience
  • Currently working in a role involving accounts preparation and month-end close
  • Exposure to journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
  • Experience with foreign currencies (desirable)
  • Background in sports, media, or entertainment sectors (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Intermediate Excel skills
