Music Catalogue & Royalties ManagerWe are looking for an experienced Music Catalogue & Royalties Manager to join a growing investment business focused on music catalogues and royalty-backed assets. This is a highly specialist role sitting at the intersection of music rights, royalties, finance, operations, and investment. You will play a key role in ensuring that music catalogues can be confidently assessed before investment and that, once acquired or funded, the underlying royalty income is collected accurately, efficiently, and consistently. You will become a key operational link between legal, investment, finance, and operational teams, helping to turn complex global royalty ecosystems into reliable and auditable cash flows.Pre-Deal Diligence & Rights MappingAnalyse music catalogues to determine the rights and income streams that can be securely lent against or acquired, including publishing, neighbouring rights and master rights.Map the complete rights and royalty value chain, identifying writers, publishers, administrators, labels, managers, estates and other third-party claim holders.Establish ownership percentages, territorial splits, mandates and control across relevant rights.Navigate global collection societies, PROs, mechanical rights organisations and neighbouring-rights societies.Confirm registrations, mandates and collection pathways and identify any gaps or potential obstacles.Analyse expected royalty cash flows by source, territory and society, assessing the reliability and collectability of projected income.Stress-test royalty flows and highlight any structural, legal or operational risks that could affect recovery.Produce clear pre-deal diligence reports confirming, or qualifying, the ability to intercept and collect the royalty income underpinning an investment.Post-Deal Royalty Management & ReconciliationReceive, reconcile and interpret royalty statements from collection societies, administrators, labels and other payors.Track actual royalty receipts against investment and cash-flow projections.Investigate variances, shortfalls, unexpected deductions and other discrepancies.Identify and resolve royalty leakage, including misallocated income, unregistered works, incorrect ownership shares, suspended payments and competing claims.Work directly with societies, administrators and other third parties to correct registrations, update mandates and recover missing income.Maintain accurate records of statements, collections, reconciliations and outstanding issues.Provide timely escalation of material royalty, ownership or collection issues to legal, investment and finance stakeholders.Continuously improve processes, controls and data tools to increase the speed, accuracy and scalability of royalty statement processing.We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the music rights and royalty landscape, combined with excellent analytical and operational skills.You may currently be working in music royalties, rights management, music publishing, catalogue administration, royalty audit, music investment or a related specialist area.You'll ideally have:Strong knowledge of music publishing, master rights and/or neighbouring rights.Music Publishing experience is essentialExperience working with royalty statements and complex royalty data.A good understanding of collection societies, PROs and international royalty collection.Experience investigating discrepancies and tracing royalty income through complex payment structures.Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with excellent attention to detail.The ability to understand and interpret rights ownership, contractual arrangements and royalty flows.Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with internal and external stakeholders.The ability to work across legal, investment, finance and operational teams.A highly organised approach and the ability to manage multiple catalogues, issues and deadlines simultaneously.A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge information and investigate issues until the underlying problem is understood.You will have genuine ownership of the royalty and revenue assurance process, from pre-deal rights diligence through to post-deal collection, while working closely with senior stakeholders across investment, legal and finance.
