This week, we’re celebrating Record Day, an annual event bringing together over 300 independent record shops across the UK and Ireland, returning this Saturday 18th April.

Across the country, independent record stores sit at the heart of the celebration, with hundreds of artists taking part through exclusive vinyl releases created especially for the day and available in-store only.

On the day itself, shops come alive with live performances, signings, DJ sets and special events, as vinyl fans queue for limited-edition releases and high streets are transformed into hubs of music culture.

More than just a date in the calendar, Record Store Day is a reminder of the vital role independent record shops play in supporting artists, nurturing discovery, and keeping music culture thriving at a grassroots level.
