Group Financial Accountant - Sport

Global Sport company uniquely positioned to bring together technology, creative, agency, talent and media are looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA Group Financial Accountant to join their Central London team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Group Finance

  • Coordinate and communicate month end timetables to group
  • Managing period close in Netsuite
  • Intercompany reconciliation and elimination
  • Prepare and maintain schedules for group balance sheet i.e. fixed assets, goodwill, intangibles, shares/investments, deferred tax, NCI
  • Managing Netsuite and Adaptive chart of accounts

Reporting

  • Coordinate and collate subsidiary submissions, review and query with subsidiaries, prepare reports
  • Group month end P&L and balance sheet
  • Group Cash flow consolidation

External Finance

  • Preparation of support and notes for statutory accounts
  • Review of subsidiary statutory accounts (with Group FC)
  • Review of local GAAPs to AASB (e.g. lease calculations)
  • Assisting with group audit queries

Other

  • Ad hoc support across the Group's Finance, Legal and HR functions

Skills & Credentials:

  • Qualified accountant with 0-2 years post-qualification experience
  • Knowledge or experience of media and/or sporting industry preferred
  • Previous experience within group reporting preferred
  • Previous experience with Netsuite preferred
  • Refined oral and written communication skills including email, phone, and video conferencing mannerisms
  • Fluent written communication is particularly important with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to convey ideas and technicalities with great interpersonal skills, particularly with senior members within the leadership team
  • Stakeholder management skills, understanding the various audiences you will interact both internally and externally
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders where required to achieve common goals and meet timelines
  • Exceptional organisation, particularly planning and delivering on time
  • Ability to work autonomously monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects as well as regular monthly tasks.
